Montclair, NJ and surrounding towns

Montclair NJ is known for diversity! That diversity is on display in each of its neighborhoods.  Walk the main thoroughfare of Bloomfield Ave in downtown and you will notice restaurants serving foods from all over the world! Truly a Foodie Paradise! Tour the culinary world from Cuban Pete's to Mesob to Zeugma Grill just to name a few!  Bloomfield Ave is home to the Montclair Art Museum, The Montclair Film Festival offices and the Clairidge theater.  Also in the neighborhood are the shops and restaurants of Church Street, as is the Wellmont Theater & Arts district.  Maybe you're in the mood for seafood at Halcyon over on Walnut Street - which is also home to Egan and Sons, an Irish pub style restaurant, and the Black-owned Montclair Brewery!  Other notable dining and shopping districts may be found on Watchung Ave (bet. N. Fullerton and Valley) and in Upper Montclair!   Don't miss Cafe Moso in the south end of town!  Speaking of the south end, it is also home to the annual Montclair Jazz Festival held in August.  Nature lovers will enjoy the Presby Iris Gardens, Van Vleck House & Gardens, and the nearby Eagle Rock Reservation.  Golfers will love the proximity to the many area courses!  Montclair is a great town with so much to offer including two boutique hotels, The George and Marriott's, The MC Hotel.  It is conveniently located and serviced by NJ Transit train service into New York's Penn Station and offers a unique magnet public school system as well as notable private schools.
